WELCOME TO THE PROGRAM FOR SOCIETY AND THE ENVIRONMENT at the
University of Maryland! The PSE was started to create a space for
social scientists who work on environmental issues to meet, exchange
ideas, and collaborate on research projects. Through additional
support from the UMd Graduate School, the PSE also provides Seed
Grants for graduate students to do research and travel to conferences
to present their findings (for more information, see the Graduate
Student section of our Website).
This site will provide an overview of goings-on at the PSE during the
year: PSE faculty, Visitors and Graduate Student Fellows will post
about their work, recipients of PSE Seed Grants will post about what
they did with the money, and we will announce talks and other events
taking place in our Workshop.
