This figure presents twitter traffic for #climatechange, and any tweets with the terms "climate change" or "climate" from 23 April to 22 May 2014.    After the peak on 6 May 2014 when the National Climate Assessment was released and President Obama announced his Climate Plan, twitter traffic waned.  However, twitter traffic continues to trend much higher than before the Assessment was released.
